Terms of Use for LinkSync

Last Updated: October 3, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the LinkSync mobile application (“LinkSync,” “the app”), developed by Alberto Paredes (“we,” “us”). By using LinkSync you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

LinkSync converts music share links between Spotify and Apple Music. The core app is free and runs on your device. LinkSync also offers an optional Premium subscription that adds a private, synced history of the links people send you, tied to an account you create by signing in with Apple. Premium also lets you create an optional profile and connect with friends who use LinkSync.

Acceptable use

You agree to use LinkSync only for lawful purposes and not to:

Accounts

Premium requires signing in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining access to the Apple ID you use. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account in the app.

Profiles, friends, and community rules

Premium lets you choose a username, display name, and bio, and connect with other LinkSync users as friends. Anything you put in your profile is content you provide, and you are responsible for it.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Before using friends, you must agree to these community rules. You may not post or use:

Reporting and blocking. You can report or block any user from their profile. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these rules we remove it, and we remove (eject) the users who posted it from LinkSync. Blocking someone stops them from finding you, seeing your profile, or sending you requests.

Our rights. We may remove or edit profile content, reclaim usernames, and suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms — without prior notice where needed to protect other users. Content filters in the app help prevent objectionable language but are not perfect; reports are how the community tells us about anything they miss.

Licence to your profile content. You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store it and show it to other users as your sharing settings allow, only to operate LinkSync.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Third-party services and trademarks

LinkSync interoperates with Spotify and Apple Music using their public endpoints. LinkSync is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. or Spotify AB. “Apple Music” and “Spotify” are trademarks of their respective owners, referenced only to describe compatibility.

Your use of Spotify, Apple Music, and other services reached through LinkSync is governed by those services’ own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

LinkSync is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that every link will convert successfully — matching depends on catalog availability and third-party endpoints outside our control — or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of LinkSync. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app’s release notes.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
